Breakpoint Grid summaries still breaking on Safari

Going back to this topic, which had been closed: in V 5.0.8, the problem still has not been resolved. I’m really surprised and disappointed that this has not been addressed. For those of us on Mac, Safari is generally a much better browser than Chrome, which sucks up a lot of RAM. So I would vastly prefer to not have to switch to Chrome just to work on a Pro site. Please get this fixed…

Thanks,
Cheshire

Hello Cheshire,

Thanks for the updates. Please be advised that the Grid Layout has been revamped and the issue should be resolved already. With the latest release of Pro theme 5.0.8, you will now have this:

You will have to click on the “Columns” and “Rows” to apply responsive styling on your grid element. For more details about the element responsive styling, kindly check this out:

Best Regards.

I don’t know how to clear plugin caches, and I can’t find info on the web on how to do that. Can you please provide a link that describes how to do that? I’ve tried installing several caching plugins to purge the cache, but none of it makes sense to me.

However, I have done private browsing mode in Safari and have checked it on both my computer and another, and the same thing keeps happening like I originally flagged: the summary is there, and then it’s gone.

I am so frustrated by this. I need a solution…please.

Hi Cheshire,

I have checked it in Safari browser through the Online Browser Testing tools and am able to see the Column options which are not visible in your screenshot.

I would suggest you check once on any other computer to be sure that it is happening only on your computer.

Thanks

I have tried it on another computer with my same results. Can you please check on a real Mac and a real Safari? Your testing environment may not be realistic.

The last time I flagged this, Themeco support kept telling me I was wrong until they finally decided I was right. I fear the same thing is happening again.

Hello Cheshire,

I am using macOS and the I could no longer replicate the issue on your site. I have logged and edited your homepage. The Grid columns option is on display.

Please log out and clear your Safari browser’s cache. You can even use private browsing mode and test your site again.

I did what you asked. I cleared Safari’s history and cache again. I used private browsing. I even restarted my Mac in Safe Mode. Same problem. What more can I do to prove to you that this is a real thing?

Hello Cheshire,

What is the version of your Safari browser? It seems that the issue only occurs on your Safari browser or just on your machine because no matter what I do, I could not replicate the issue on my macOS with Safari browser’s latest version. Please install Firefox or Brave browser and use the newly installed browser for testing purposes.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Safari: Version 14.1.2 (16611.3.10.1.6)
MacOS Big Sur 11.5.2

I know it works fine on Chrome, but honestly it’s annoying having to go to Chrome just to work on a Pro site.

It is NOT JUST MY MACHINE. I have tested this on another Mac laptop in my house with exactly the same results.

Hello Cheshire,

If you look at my previous screenshot, it is clear that I am also using the same macOS Big Sur 11.5.2 and Safari 14.1.2. We will just report this to our developers so that they can also investigate this issue on their macOS machines.

Please bear with us.

I did see that we were using the same, so it is very confusing. Thank you for reporting it.

No problem, Cheshire.
We will just wait for our developers for their findings then.
