we are using breadcrumbs on the site we are currently developing. They work fine on the collection pages e.g https://wordpress-1368127-5047106.cloudwaysapps.com/england-collection/. But on the ‘category’ and ‘sub-category’ pages they don’t work in this situation as they include ‘shop’. As an example - https://wordpress-1368127-5047106.cloudwaysapps.com/product-category/seating-england/dining-chairs/ we want ‘shop’ to be replaced by either ‘English Collection’ or ‘Collection’.
Hello @simonwr1976,
Thanks for posting in! The Breadcrumb is displaying as expected. You have there the “Shop” in the breadcrumb because that is the page title of your shop page. If you want to use English Collection
or just Collection
, you can go to Pagess > All Pages and look for the Shop page. DO a quick edit of the page and change the title:
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks for this, changed it to collection. It works, but not quite as I hoped, but we’ll stick with it for now. I’m guessing now that it’s an archive page and it looks to be using the archive template, but it’s not pulling in any products or the page title which should be between the lines at the top, it should be populated like this - https://wordpress-1368127-5047106.cloudwaysapps.com/product-category/seating-england/dining-chairs/
Hi @simonwr1976,
It is not clear what do you mean by.
Can you please give some URL where it is not pulling correctly. I have checked few and found the Page Title is working correctly.
Thanks
it’s just the collection page - https://wordpress-1368127-5047106.cloudwaysapps.com/collection/, it’s not pulling the products, but it’s not pulling the page title
Hello @simonwr1976,
I have checked your products:
The Collection page is displaying the products:
There is no title because in your layout the Headline and Text elements have this:
{{dc:term:name}}
and {{dc:term:description}}
will ONLY work on TERM archive pages. This will not display the “Collection” page title. You will need to have a separate Headline {{dc:post:title}}
and Text for the Shop index ONLY. You can do this by utilizing the element condition “Shop Is Being Viewed”:
Hope this makes sense.
That’s great. Thanks for your help
