Blog filter "All" isn't displaying latest posts

Hi there. Can you help me figure out why the most recent posts aren’t displaying on my blog page: https://www.watsoncaringscience.org/contact-wcsi/news/

I would like the filter to default to ALL, but as you can see in Recent News, the last 2 posts aren’t displaying on the page.

Would appreciate your help, thank you!

Hey @ccwadsworth,

Regretfully, you can’t show the Recent Post if the Filterable Index is enabled. The Filterable Index will show the latest post of the first category.

There is no option to have a filter while showing the recent post. That could only be achieved using a 3rd party plugin that allows AJAX filtering.

You can also consult with a 3rd party developer if he could create a custom function to achieve this for you.

Thank you for understanding.

Thank you @christian.
Is there another display option within Pro that will give me the same effect?
And can you tell me the name of the 3rd party plugin that allows AJAX filtering?

Hello @ccwadsworth,

Regretfully there is no option to at the moment. It would require custom development. I would suggest you contact a developer who can assist you with your concern or you can search for a plugin in the WordPress plugin repository. Please note that we have not tested at our end so we can not recommend you any. Please remember that we don’t provide custom development and any third-party support. It is out of the support scope.

Alternatively, you can use our bundled plugins

Hope it helps
Thanks for understanding

I understand. Thank you.

Glad that we are able to help you.

Quick question… I have installed The Grid, but I don’t know how to apply it to the page that shows all my latest posts. Appreciate your guidance, thank you!

Hello @ccwadsworth,

To use the “The Grid” plugin with our theme please have a look at our doc to learn more about how to display the post with the help of “The Grid”

In case if you have already created the Post Gird from the “The Gird” plugin, you can copy the shortcode and use it in the Text, Raw content element.

Members-Content-Pro (3)

Or you can use our Classic The Gird element to display the post gird

Hope it helps
Thanks

Thank you, but I can’t even access Pro from the Blog page.

Hi @ccwadsworth,

If you want to add or edit your blog page, there are two ways to do it. Please check the details below.

1.) First Option - create a Layout Builder and assign it to your blog page

2.) Second option to unassign the blog page in the reading settings

  • To do this option, just go to Settings > Readings and set the post page to select option.

  • In that way, you can edit your blog page directly

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
