In a video element, setting a source - video embed works but player doesn’t (tried with internal and external video links)
Also, the autoplay doesn’t seem to work.

The thumbnail flashes up, then disappears, and when I play the video (I have a custom button that triggers the video to play with JS) its just the sound?
Any idea?

Experiencing the a similar same issue but with embedded and not the player, also the video is inside a modal:
Once I click on the play button to play the video the modal closes with the video playing, so when i open the modal again I can see the video playing.
I’ve also tried using a different modal (off-canvas) and not use the video element but the raw element with an iframe of the youtube video, and it does exactly the same thing. Closes the modal the moment I hit play.
Sorry to bombard here with bugs, but while I was trying to try the Classic Embedded Video to see if I could make it work with that, I’ve noticed that none of the Classic elements allows Dynamic Content in them. Not sure if this is a deliberate option because they are classic elements or if it’s just a bug.
Just wanted to let you know in case it is a bug. Ignore me if it meant to be like this haha
So I’ve looked into the above. @Maratopia_Digital, I’ve fixed the issue with Classic elements.
@RubberDuckers I tried adding a video element and I also tried video backgrounds. Both are working for me

@techwhisperer a note about autoplay: some time ago browsers started to prevent autoplaying videos. It will throw an error if we try to programmatically play the video before the user interacts with it. This doesn’t apply to muted videos.
Hey @alexander - so I upgraded to Beta 2 and now the video element is giving an error when I go switch from embed to player.
I tried putting a new element in and it did the same.
I can try it on another site if you can’t replicate, or give you logins, whichever is best for you!

Any news on when this bug might be fixed? We have a website coming close to launch and are using this modal on a lot of products to display videos, would be great to get a rough estimate so we can figure out if we need to find an alternative at the moment or not.

I tested that and it’s working both as a video element inside a modal and a raw content in a modal. I do see the issue is still happening on your site with the latest version so I’m not sure what’s going on there. Would you mind opening a new thread (beta forum is fine) and adding login details? I can check the site directly to see what might be going on.

The blank right hand side of the main hero is a column that has a video background but doesn’t show live (does in the builder).
Above it I’ve put a new section with a video bg, that works but I’ve also put a column in that with a video that doesn’t work! If you inspect, it’s there but not showing.

I think there’s something going on with the flex-basis values on the Row element. The gap is outputting as 0 when it should have a unit like 0px. I’m not sure at the moment how they would have lost the unit.
Try inspecting the Row, then setting the Gap values to anything else, then back to zero.

Though when I change it 1px, works a treat, (other than the 1px gap that I don’t want) but when I change it back to 0 - exactly the same issue as before.
The pink bit towards the bottom with ‘You won’t regret it’ - that should be a 50/50 split with video on the left but have left it without a gap width so you can see.
I’ve not updated any other sites yet but have you noticed it on any others where a 0 gap doesn’t work?
Very strange 0 doesn’t work. Standby for Pro 5.0.6 to be published to automatic updates later today. I’ve made a slight adjustment that will force a px if the value is just 0 which should correct this without needing to change anything.
