Beta 6 removed the title from Classic Feature Box

I’m working in a staging version of a live site, and it looks like Beta 6 removed the Title of the feature boxes I was using.

The title is still “in there” somewhere though, because when I hover over the feature boxes, the correct title is shown in the blue hover state title.

And FYI, the front end was fine and still showed the correct title.

That is, until I made a change on this page and saved it, then it started showing “Feature Box Title” instead.

Confirmed and fixed. Unfortunately any pages you have saved since updating will lose that title :frowning: I’m sorry about that. There’s somewhat of a shadow copy but it is only one way… I don’t have a way to safely repopulate the title from how the observer is displayed. This won’t happen after the live release.

Oh yeah, no worries. I was just playing with the staging build to see how things were affected.

Thanks!

When you fixed this, did you also happen to notice that a similar issue was affecting the Classic Feature List as well?

I hadn’t noticed before, but after updating to Beta 7, I scrolled down and noticed that the Classic List was now title-less. And since I updated the page with Beta 6, I’m not sure if I overwrote the original titles when they weren’t visible…

I think those were the only two classic elements I had set up on this particular test site, so I’m not sure if others might also be affected…

It was effecting any elements that used the old “title” control from the early days of Cornerstone. This used to be a bigger text input, but we normalized it to a regular text input in a later version. I went through them all so the feature list should be fine.

I did uncover an issue (not fixed yet, but will be) where changing child elements in those classic parent/child elements doesn’t update in the live preview.
