Beta 6: Collapsed Page From Double Click on Text Element

Hello,

With Beta 6, I went to edit some text elements

  • Double clicked on three of them and added text
  • Double clicked on the fourth and the page collapsed to nothing

Error steps

There are some console messages which you might make sense of. Chrome Browser on MacOS Mojave. I repeated this twice and now it won’t happen.

Hi Bill,

I’m going to push beta7 today which has some error boundaries added that should help prevent the whole preview from collapsing.

Could you try updating to that later, and if you’re still having issues post login credentials? I can take a closer look at what’s happening. It looks like the initial error is coming from another source outside the builder. The changes I’ve made (in the process of fixing other issues) will help give more information to why it is failing to render.

I installed Beta 7.

Weirdness is happening. I double click to edit a text element, it takes typing, if I click further along the text string, the outline turns green and I can no longer edit the element.

Or double click the text element, type once, move the cursor, type a 2nd time, outline goes green.

Not quite how it’s supposed to work. I’ll give you a login after this post. Bill.

Try it on the field with the text “4. Tracked Content” lower down the page.
