I am noticing an UI issue in the Content builder: for example in the Button element, we have the URL text area in the Inspector. We have similar text areas in other elements as well. We often need to select the content of those text areas, and we often do it by dragging across the text in that field.
This dragging will often lead the mouse going out of the Inspector area, into the Content editor. If that happens, the moment we release the mouse button, the element that is currently hovered will be selected. Instead, the Inspector should stay active and we should be able to hit Copy, to copy the text from the field.
Here’s a bigger problem with this: if the text filed in the Inspector is horizontally aligned with the Header or the Footer area, when we drag and release the mouse button over the header/footer, it will start loading the other editor. If there was no change on the site, it will do so without a warning.
On the side note, if we click on the footer inside the content area, the Footer builder loads, but it stays at the top of the page. Since there are no visual clues that we are now in the Footer builder (apart for the part of the URL), it is quiet confusing. I’d say that if we are moving into the Footer builder, the view should start scrolled down where the actual footer is.
Here’s another anomaly: If we went into the Footer from the Content editor, perhaps by mistake, and hit the Back button in the browser, button elements will start acting as links, trying to leave the Content editor.
Thanks!
PS: I’d love to see a dedicated favicon for each of the builders and other Pro areas. This is a great clue and especially helpful when some of those are pinned in the browser.
