Strange edge case here.
Repro:
- Start on a page
- Make sure the page is saved
- Click on the header to edit it
- Once the header loads, either hit back or click on the page within the browser to
Edit Page - Click the Front End/Preview Button
Observed: Even though you’re on a single page, you now have access to the preview controls to see other pages. However, if you select a page with a custom layout, things get extra weird and it will display your current page within The Content section of that layout.
If you refresh the window, everything goes back to normal.
(BTW, I ran into this because I keep accidentally clicking on the Headers without intending to actually switch to editing them. I kind of miss the previous “are you sure” type message – but am trying to adjust.)
