Beta 2 - Settings are not saved when creating new page from within the Content menu

Repro:

  1. Open Content in the Hamburger menu
  2. Click the Plus button
  3. Select a Page Template other than default
  4. Set status to Publish
  5. Fill out everything else
  6. Click Create Content

Observed: After the new page loads, the Status and selected Page Template settings were not saved. (Refreshing the page doesn’t change anything either)

I have the same error - clean wordpress install with Beta2.
After I create the page. I have to go back into content settings and set the template again

I can confirm this . Had in both beta 1 and beta 2.

This is both when creating a new page from scratch and if you take an existing page that is set to a draft.

If the page is already created then you can change the template but changing the page from draft to published doesn’t work.
