Beta 2: New Row starts differently

Hi!

When adding a new section and choosing a row layout, this is how it used to start:

This is how it looks now:

I guess this is not intended. Centered and distributed evenly should be the default.

Also, when switching to a single column layout, nothing changes. Both columns stay like that.

Additionally, there is a much longer lag while adding new sections or choosing a row layout.

One more thing: When changing margins and paddings on existing sections, they work. On newly created pages, they do not respond.

Thanks!

can confirm this issue using beta 2!

I was just going to start the topic about this. I can confirm this as well, which is similar to a previous bug from beta 1

Thanks everyone! We’ll check this out and let you know when it’s addressed.

Same - especially in Global Blocks

Fixed for all builders.

Hi @alexander!

In RC1, I have just created a new Section with two columns on a brand new page, and got this:

I am also getting this from time to time. (If I remember correctly if I saved and then refreshed the page it worked as expected.)

Thanks @Misho,

I’ve been looking at it but haven’t triggered it yet. Likely some kind of race condition where the elements render before the CSS is available. Will keep watching for it.

On this I also had some weird stuff with headings and padding etc. when my rows loaded like this. Unfortunately I haven’t replicated it again but if it happens I’ll have a better look.

Sounds good, thank you!

Wired. I am replicating it on both Beta installs, every time.

Would you mind checking with RC2? If you’re still seeing it, could I login to check it out? Might be easier to see what’s going on that way. Thanks!

Hi @alexander! Unfortunately, RC2 does the same.

Here is what I can see in the console:

I’ll add the login details in the private note.

Thank you! Was able to get to the bottom of this and sort it out.
