Beta 10 | 3.2.3 Header Migration

I know this has been talked about a few times here so my apologies if this has already been addressed in B10 but I updated a (staging) site that was on 3.2.3 and all the headers broke as soon as I started using the new conditions.

Repro:

  1. Updated 3.2.3 > Beta 10 (all looked good at a glance, even headers)
  2. Opened existing header in builder and changed conditions
  3. This broke the header completely and it no longer showed at all
  4. Duplicated the header that wasn’t working and all worked just dandy.

Hope this super vague info helps.

Having the exact same issue. The headers do not show, no matter what condition I set. I’ve created from scratch, duplicated, etc., and they just go missing.

@xRae - The headers that I create from scratch and/or duplicate seem to work just fine. It’s just the intial header upon update.

Be sure that you are setting the conditions in the settings tab for the entire header and not on the bar itself (which was something I accidentally attempted initially).

If you’re looking to set the entire header / footer:

  1. Do go header > settings
  2. Don’t go header > bar > inspector > customize

@DoncoMarketing - I’ve tried both ways multiple times. Nothing sticks. The headers just never show, no matter what I do anymore.

Thanks @DoncoMarketing! Do you remember roughly what your old assignments were on the Header before you upgraded? Was it the entire site, or multiple specific pages? Going to do some testing but that would help me narrow it down.

@alexander - old assignments were page specific and (not sure if it matters) but the header included a sidebar + standard top header.
