I understand why on screensizes the preview for XS, S, M, & L show the smallest width for that screensize as default, but can we please have the largest screen size (XL) show the max width, as I can imagine that will be the most viewed size for XL

Also, typing in the screen size or preview % is a right royal pain at the moment… it looks to be dynamically checking the px values before the enter key is pressed. for eg try going from 1400px wide to 979px by typing into the pixel width field

@scotbaston, XL doesn’t have a “max width” as it is the final breakpoint (1200px and up). What we could do is perhaps explore the idea of simply sizing it to a set upper limit, but that would:

  1. Be quite arbitrary. The “biggest” size for people will vary (i.e. do you want to see 1400px as your upper limit, or 2400px because you’re on some mondo monitor / the design you’re building is based on a different max-width for very large screens?)
  2. It wouldn’t be consistent with how the other breakpoints operate, which might cause some confusion.

Would love to know your thoughts on this some more.

As for the manual input of the resizer, I have noticed this myself. We have some usability things to sort out there. Thanks for chiming in on that!
