Beta 1: Current Label stays blue if the control is set back as it was

Hi!

If we change something, its label turns blue to indicate that this is the current style for the previewed breakpoint. However, if we immediately set it back where it was, it stays blue. As a result, it offers us to reset to the same state as it already is.

That is confusing for the users. I think that if we set the style back as it was, it should remove the current state.

Thanks!

Howdy, @Misho!

I see what you’re saying here. For example, if a Row’s width was set to 100% for “All Sizes,” then you go to MD and set it to 90%, that would be the “current” style of that breakpoint. However, if you then go back to MD later and manually type in 100% again, which is the same as the “base” value, it will still show blue even though they match.

We talked about this some and I think where we landed is basically what you’re saying. Basically, we need to treat the manual entry of an exact same value as the base as a “reset,” which would remove the “current” styling from it. This will make the behavior of resetting things in general behave more uniformly no matter if it is done with a “hard” reset using the button, or softly by typing it in.

Hopefully that addresses what you’ve mentioned here and we will work to get that in soon!
