Currently if you go to the content section of the pro navigation, the previews of a page aren’t loading, you have to edit a page before you can see the page preview

This is actually a tradeoff with the new design. The preview frame remains on what the current editing context. In the new navigation you can find any Content, Header, Footer, etc. without the hard interruption of stopping over on one of the index screens. There isn’t a preview anymore since it would have to overtake what you’re currently working on.
A shame as especially when working on a client site, the title dosn’t always give the game away… understandable though
I can see that. What I’ll do is open a feature request in our main tracker so we can come back and reconsider it. Maybe there’s another way to show a preview, perhaps even just on top of the current context or in a smaller window. It would take a while to get setup so we can’t really approach it in the beta feedback phase, but it would be good thing to add back in somehow if we can find the right approach.
