Best Practice for One Page website - Layout Builder or Page Builder

Hi there,

A quick question because there is no clear answer on Themeco Docs, but what is the best practice when creating a one-page website with X Pro?

Namely, creating it completely in Layout Builder or Page Builder (excl. Header Builder & Footer Builder as that is clear) is there a significant difference between the two ? And/or will this also affect backend things, such as the Structure Score (GTmetrix) or Indexing efficiency ?

Kind regards!

Hello @Moomed,

Thanks for writing in!

The Layout Builder is different from the Content Builder. You use the Layout Builder if you want to create a custom layout for archive pages or your custom post-type post pages. The Content Builder is used to create or build a single page or post that has a unique layout from the other pages.

If you only have a One-page website, you can create it using the Content Builder. This is way easier because you do not have to switch between the builders (content, header, or footer). Usually, it can be done by utilizing the Blank - No Container | No Header, No Footer page template. This will usually load faster because there aren’t any header or footer to load.

Best Regards.

I see, gotcha!

Thanks for clearing that up @ruenel

You are most welcome.
