Beginner has problem with DesignCloud

Hello,
i just started my first X project and i wanted to import Ethos Business from the design cloud as a starting point. When i start by clicking install it shows “initializing” with a progress bar and sits there forever.
I am using a local Windows xamp installation for my tests.

Anyone knows what is wrong?

Thank you for writing in, first, please make sure that your X theme and Cornerstone are on the latest version (you can refer here), if you see that one is not up to date, please update it.

How to Update

If the issue persists:

Try deactivating all your plugins and try to import the demo again.
Increase PHP Memory Limit
Increase PHP Max execution time
Installing the Asset Again (scroll down at the bottom)

Thank you for the tips. I disabled all plugins - no effekt
Then i increased the PHP Memory limit (tip2) but it did not help, tip3 and 4 were already set.
I also tried a different download - still not working.
Anything else i can try?

Hi Markus,

Could you try this procedures?

Please make sure ConvertPlus, it’s known to cause issue with Design Cloud import due to media hooks, it’s recently fixed on our Unreleased version, should be available on next cornerstone updates.
Please edit your MySQL configuration, the instruction maybe different from each hosting so I recommend contacting them about this, but if your can edit your MySQL my.ini file, then please go ahead and change max_allowed_packet config and set it to 16mb.
On the same MySQL configuration, please change innodb_log_file_size value to 256mb.

This procedures requires a MySQL server reboot/restarts, please go ahead and do that but if it’s not possible then you should contact your hosting provider and let them do it, or perhaps the entire MySQL configuration too

As i mentioned above, this is a local xampp test environment, so editing the ini is not a problem.
I did what you mentioned in 2 and three and it now seems to work fine, thanks for the support.
