I’ve added a secure note, yes you can make changes
Hi @simonwr1976,
I have checked the single layout and found that is already assigned to the all posts, and it is working prefectly. Can you please check and let us know if you are still facing the same issue. If yes, please provide any video that help us to recognize the problem.
Thanks
I’m not seeing what you’re seeing then. When I try and edit a post I get the error in the screenshot and I can’t edit any content
Thank you for the update.
You may need to edit the Single Layout directly. Please check the link in the secure note.
When creating a Single Layout, you should be aware of how dynamic content works. For example, to display the title of the post, you can use the dynamic content {{ dc:post:title }} . For the excerpt, use {{ dc:post:excerpt }} . It’s also important to note that once the Single Layout has been assigned, you won’t have to edit each post manually. For more info about Single Layouts and dynamic content, please check the following documentation:
Let us know if you need more info.
Warm regards.
oh ok. maybe i’m not using the template the way I want to, ot templates are the best way to go? I’ve created the ‘template’ which I want to add to all posts, but I then want to edit every post individually. Am I best just saving the 7 sections as a template and then adding that to each post and then editing as i need to??
Yes, you can save the sections as templates and add them manually to your posts. Make sure to delete the Single Layout or remove the Customize > Conditions so that you can edit each post manually with the builder.
