Assigning a layout to a post type

Hello there,

I have created the layout for this custom post type in the Layout Builder. I would like to use this template as the default for all case studies.

Will assigning this layout to the case studies custom post type, under Add Condition Group, always load this layout into Cornerstone when I create a new page through Pages > Add New? Is this how assigning it in the Layout Builder works?

At the moment my client duplicates an existing case study and modifies the content.

Thanks for writing to us.

In order to assign the layout to the custom post type, I would suggest you go to the Layout —>click on the settings Icon—>Assignment ---->Conditions —>Select Post Type option from the select box then you need to select your post type from the drop-down. Please have a look at the given screenshot below.
