Please could we have a way of populating meta description / excerpt with dynamic content for single layouts (& possible archive layouts).
I am building a business directory as part of the local chamber, and would love to be able to pull the short_description cpt field into the meta description for beautifully displayed google searches
So you want to add Dynamic content like {{dc:post_type:description}} to the excerpt? It’s certainly doable for us to add Post Type dynamic content. The problem I was running into was that certain SEO plugins like rankmath were building out this meta description in a way that didn’t run through the normal filters. So it might require us going through certain plugins to fix that.
Yup, that’s exactly it please.
it is possible via using a custom field within Yoast but it would be much better to keep everything within cornerstone
