Hello, wondering if anyone has successfully updated to Wordpress 7.0 and whether there are any known issues with it and Pro/X/Cornerstone/etc?

Thanks for writing in! I have updated our local testing server to the latest WordPress 7.0. So far, I have encountered no issues. We highly recommend that you do the updates in your staging area first. This is to prevent any disruption to your live site. This is also applicable when you have used a child theme and that you have several custom PHP code modifications for your site.

Using WP Rocket with Pro is giving massive problems after update to 7.0 on dozens of my projects. I’ve downgraded and will speak with WP Rocket. Don’t update WP core if you use this constellation.

It might be a cache issue. I would suggest purging all cache from the cache plugin and checking again. I also recommend reading this doc to troubleshoot common issues and then rechecking it. If it still does not work, please create a separate thread and share the details there in a secure note so we can check it on our end.

From my side (France) i encounter two issues from WP 7.0 after update :
- First one is a “blank” admin section (regarding new core page, connectors and fonts) on safari (last version, last osx) and, even if i flush all caches on server and site sides, it persists on Safari but not Chrome
- Second one is maybe more serious, it concern the “font” page who i encountered an error message on both browsers. From ChatGPT and Gemini, it can be relative to “old JS dependencies” maybe deprecated on wordpress 7.0 (using react apparently)
Do you Themeco guys will simplify the font manager in Theme PRO connecting it to the new WP API Fonts ? that new WP feature seems to improve performance for it… it will be awesome

Thanks for reaching out. This seems like compatibility issues, with the updated WordPress installation, make sure that you are fully updated including Theme and Plugins. For running everything smooth, please confirm that you’re running PHP 8.3 or greater and MySQL version 8.0 as recommended by WordPress.
You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

I’m actually on php version 8.5 and i tried on 8.3 as well, its the same… so my current version is actually 8.5
Theme PRO is up to date at 6.8.8
Mysql is on version “mysqlnd 8.5.5”
MariaDB 11.4.4
so i’m up to date… is there any Wordpress community issues page where i can write about this issue as a feedback ?
[Edit] you’re right about wordpress extensions… all are not “compatible up to version 7” including Woocommerce that is still compatible up to 6.9.4, for instance. i think there is a conflict with another plugin or theme. i’m not sure so far.

@Florian_FR have you resolved your issues with WP Rocket and the new update of WP?
The only issue I encounter is the change on system font, and I cant figure out how to fix it. I havee installed fonts in the appearance> font library but it did nothing. Hope the guys at One @ruenel can help me. But I am most interested in knowing if there is any incompatibility between WP Rocket, WP 7 and WooCommerce.

Since the today’s update of WooCommerce to fit WP 7.0 i have no blank pages relative to IA Services (settings) anymore.
But still, The new font system of wp core is fully down on my side. I’m not sure, but it may have an incompatibility with Pro Theme font-Manager.
About WP Rocket, i’m not in that use case. I do not use CDN for now.
I just use Redis and OPCache with LiteSpeed serveur and plugin on my environment.
If someone else have the answers to fix that Appearance > Font bug, please, let us know.

Try disabling the “Use theme styles” option in the Block Editor Preferences if that would help you.

Thanks for the reply and the advice !
I was trying disabling as your suggest and surprise, the article bloc editor do not works (Blank Page probably until WP 7.0).
i have a pile of JS console errors from one of those article page.
and it seems Appearance > Composition is out of service too.
The strange thing, is that have not so much custom developments.
Just a few JS that i use with CSForms for the Public connexion screen, the forgotten password process and that’s it !
It works before wp 7.0.
I don’t know where to fix it.
[Edit : It seems i have some issues with Cornerstone too : Saving loader is extremely slow, save once on 4 tries… with an error message relative to “invalid response in Json”]

- create a staging site

- Admin username and password
