AI in Page Builders

Guys, are you in for discussing AI in the context of page builders?

There are great feature requests and a great roadmap, but there is a code-red going on as we speak. Everyone and their grandma is implementing AI into their tools, the latest being Elementor AI.

It is basically cheap marketing because it is just modified text elements with an API call and a few pre-programed prompts to “write this and that”, “shorten”, “make longer”, “translate”… It works for text or HTML, or anything.

It is the same thing as writing proper prompts directly into ChatGPT.

I think Themeco shouldn’t be left beheld and should come out with something quickly, even if it is the simplest possible implementation. Maybe there is something brewing already.

The API subscription fee needs to be transferred to the users, of course, and that would be a great way to further push the new subscription model.

Even though I don’t like this massive AI movement at all for various reasons, it’s not something that can be easily stopped anymore. Perhaps it would indeed be worth looking into some sort of AI companion for Cornerstone. Everybody else is going to for their themes/builders.

If you want to “write this and that”, "shorten, “make longer”, “translate”, then there are AI tools for WordPress already that could do that. Bertha AI for example. Not saying Themeco shouldn’t build their own, but in the meantime it may be good enough.

If this is going to happen then why not think a little bigger? Why not let it build page templates and fill it with unique and relevant content? Well that’s where my mind goes when I think about AI in relation to page builders :sunglasses:

Something like this, @Misho?

To be honest that’s pretty cool and useful

Wow. Things are moving fast.

It sure seems that way. And it’s only early days for AI.

Very cool. I like the image one especially. Stable diffusion is very fun. We played around with some ideas here and you’ll probably seeing something in the future. I left the initial research believing we needed more docs for it to consume. If you get real clear with the prompt as well as a code style example, you can get it to generate custom elements and probably dynamic content extensions for Cornerstone.
