In your image source, the dynamic content should be {{dc:looper:item}} and it will fix the issue.

How would I go about adding a light box to display full image?

We have a template called “Image Gallery Lightbox” in the Themeco templates tab you should try out. It has a lot of that setup and sounds like what you are looking for. Let us know if you like it.
