Hopefully the ACF acquisition won’t change anything for the worse. Do you guys have any insider info? Also wondering if the licensing deal/agreement will need to be looked at as I’ve read that they’re potentially going to change/remove the lifetime license. Not sure what you guys have in place!

Lifetime Licenses
Prior to February 2020, the ACF Pro licenses included lifetime software updates. We are committed to honoring lifetime licenses forever. Lifetime license holders will get all ACF Pro software updates forever. They won’t be required to pay for version 6.0 or any other major or minor releases in the future. They signed up for updates for life, so we’ll continue to deliver on that promise forever.
Yeah! I saw their backtrack. Initially they were saying that lifetime license holders (which I guess the partnership with Themeco would be similar to) wasn’t going to get further updates. But they went back to honouring it which is great!
As far as I know, nothing will be changing on our end. Our license should still allow us to provide updates and include it with the theme.

Delicious Brains should be a good steward, but I don’t know why Automattic didn’t buy ACF since it really should be a part of WP core.
