Access to Entry Share JavaScript Code in Pro

Hi Guys,

I am using Google Tag Manager on my site. The only area that I am struggling with is Entry Share Shortcode in my Blog. The variable is identified as x-share, but I wish to create my own class in the Child Theme to allow the variable to display the text; facebook, linked, etc.

Using the Entry Share Shortcode does not allow for the class within the Shortcode, only within the div. Maybe I am missing something more obvious

Anyway, where is the JScript Code file in Pro for Entry Share

Hi @gnorris,

You should be able to do that by overriding the code for the entry share through the child theme. Please install and activate the child theme and login through FTP then edit the functions.php then add this code:

Hi Jade,

I added the above code to the child theme functions.php file. How do I call it into my post pages? I assume that I do not use the Entry Share Shortcode?

Hi Gerard,

You’ll have to use [x_share] shortcode to your post content. Example

[x_share facebook="true" twitter="true" title="Share This!!"]
