Hey @charlie!

I love the new “Split” Outline mode. It’s super useful on large monitors.
However, on a smaller laptop, it eats up too much space.

That opens an opportunity to have a Variable Split mode in the preferences, based on screen width.

User could enter the viewport size in preferences below which the Nested mode is active, and above which the Split mode is active.

This should happen in real time. If the browser window is dragged from a small laptop to a large screen, the Nested mode changes to Split mode automatically.

Splitmode is really great on very wide monitors, but not working on small ones. So I’d also like to have a split depending on screen width.
Unfortunately the split view does not help if you have a two monitor setup instead of an ultra-wide monitor. So moving one or the two splitted sidebars to another tab, being placed on the second monitor would make things a lot easier.

I was thinking about this too. Agree it would be a great improvement to have an option to have it automatically collapse at certain browser widths.

Yes we can add a check based on browser width. 1200px worked well in my testing. Have a great weekend everybody.
