6.7.0 Beta 1 - Copying Color Hex Issue

Hi Charlie,

I have another problem in Gradients. This one is about copying color codes. the following steps should replicate the issue:

  • Go to Global Colors, choose a color and copy its Hex or RGB code.

  • Switch from Solid Color to Gradient (in my example, in a header).

  • Choose a color stop in the Gradient where you want to paste the color code from the Global Color and paste.

  • Instead of pasting the color code, the following gets pasted!

The code is too long to post here, but I am sure you will be able to replicate the issue.

Thanks,
Christopher

It looks like it’s copying the element data in your example. I wasn’t able to recreate though. What browser were you using? Any additional steps taken before this happened?

Latest version of Chrome on Windows 11. Here is a screenshot video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oxya66hs5pg

You can also see the other strange heading color issues mentioned in a separate post.

I also had this happen once but wasn’t able to replicate it

I am still getting the same issue in Beta 2. Here is another screenshot video. The issue tends not to occur immediately, but as a second step: https://youtu.be/zLMktYpLVec

A second problem I have noticed is also shown in the video. Although at the start I have a gradient showing, I had immediately beforehand used a solid color, which was saved. When switching to and fro, the solid color is forgotten and resets to default red (#ffff00) - is this intended?

Thanks,
Christopher

Let me know if you still have this issue when beta3 comes out. Have a great day.

Will do. Have a good day too!
