So far so good with 4.3.0 Beta1 but noticed that applying a layout to a custom archive breaks the header. Not sure why but see below.

Hi @DoncoMarketing,
Can you try going to Settings and clearing the style cache? Let me know if that makes a difference. I tried reproducing this and it’s working on my end. If you’re still having issues let me know if I can see it live somewhere. Thanks!
Hi @alexander – thanks for the followup. Yes, tried that prior to posting here. Definitely persisting. Info in note.
Thanks! Found the issue. In the Layout, your Section with Element CSS was missing a closing brace. It worked fine in the preview since CSS is applied in individual style tags per element. But on the front end it all gets combined together. That means any CSS after the Layout would potentially be broken. I added the brace and saved the Layout and it’s working now.
Sorry about that - I really wish we had better error detection in this area. We’re working on a new dynamic CSS engine for responsive styling so hopefully we can find a better way to handle it there.
You sir are amazing. Thank you for tracking down the issue & fixing the issue – even though it turned out not to have anything to do with you.
No problem! It’s one of my own pet peeves with Pro. I’m sure it can be frustrating that the tool doesn’t tell you when something is wrong. Thankfully the new status indicators help make finding Element CSS much faster, but I’d love for us to get that cleaned up somehow.
