4.3.0 B1 & B2 | Cannot license

Not sure if this is due to something in the beta or something with the Themeco site but I cannot validate my site on a freshly built (previously unlicensed) install.

Observations below:

  1. If site was not previously licensed and 4.3B1 or B2 is installed
  2. Pro unlimited license key is accepted site-side
  3. “Congratulations” message is shown
  4. Page refreshes
  5. “Your almost finished” validation message is shown again
  6. In Themeco Dashboard it shows as being registered properly

Note: If site was previously licensed prior to beta, it stays licensed with beta

Site cache cleared. Theme style cache cleared (for kicks and giggles). Very few plugins installed. Thanks.

This happens if there’s a connectivity problem between your server and our update API. Unfortunately the behavior is that if at some point it can’t make the right connection it deletes the API key. It’s not related to the beta but a problem we’ve seen come up every now and again. The bigger issue is that there isn’t any error reporting to indicate what exactly prevented the connection to take place. It’s something we’re going to need to look into revamping and providing better error output when the connection fails.
