Hi, this is on 4.1.3. I noticed this several times, on several pages and layouts. After freshly loading the page in the editor, opening the Element modal, and then quickly typing into the search field for the elements, the whole window freezes after the first letter. One cannot even reload of the browser window, it is completely stuck. One has to close the browser tab, and re-open that page freshly.
It does not seem to happen when one pauses briefly after the first letter (only a fraction of a second). I had the impression that the cursor in the search field “thinks a bit”, then starts blinking again. After that it is fine.
This is with Chrome on Windows.
More experience with this: It seems it happens every time the element modal is opened for the first time in a browser window. It doesn’t matter if that is the first thing that I do in this window, or if I have done other editing first. Typing too quickly into the search bar of the element model freezes the window.
Thanks @striata for the heads up on this. I recall this happening in an earlier beta but haven’t seen it since then. We’ll check it out.
