4.0.4 - Layouts - Portfolio Sidebar

Hey Team

How would I go about adding the default Portfolio sidebar (the hardcoded one within Stacks) to a new Layout within Pro 4?

See below there is the default Widget Area options - but you can only select Sidebars:

How would something like the below default Portfolio Item sidebar be added?

Or even better… how would I be able to link in the relevant Portfolio Item sidebar elements without having to pull the whole sidebar through? So as to be able to customise them more.

Hi Sam,

That area isn’t really a sidebar in the WordPress sense, but it can be recreated using the Layout Builder. Try somehting like this:

  • Enable a Looper provider of Current Post Terms on the Column.
  • Add a Headline element and enable Looper Consumer.
  • Set the content of the headline element to {{dc:term:title}}

That should output a list of headlines based on a taxonomy. You can take this a step further by setting the Headline tag to li and wrapping it in a Div element with the tag set to ul
