JadeModeratorHi there,
I have just checked the customizer of your site and added the CSS from our previous response but I can’t seem to see the dark screen you mentioned as I was able to save the CSS code with no issues.
Would you mind double checking again? Thank you.

borinqenParticipantOk, I will. Tks.

borinqenParticipantThis is the screen that I keep on seeing. Any change that I make I can’t save.

borinqenParticipantThe code that you added changed the background but only of the actual pages… not the home page. Can you remove it please. I have added a background to the home page so that will take care of the color that I wanted, however, I tried to remove the code and since I get that black screen I can’t save the changes because there’s no option to. I am not sure why this is happening.
Tks.

borinqenParticipantI have also created a sidebar and added a widget and I don’t see them on the pages that I selected. Is there something wrong with my theme?

RadModeratorHi there,
This http://screencast.com/t/Y36HquXIz is correct. It’s the code editor with dark background. It’s normal, and you’ll simply click the x button to close it. I removed the CSS as you requested.
About the sidebar, it’s because your current layout has no sidebar. Creating sidebar and adding widgets will not auto-switch the layout. Go to Admin > Appearance > Customizer > Layout and Design > Content Layout and change it other than Fullwidth, and that should give your layout a sidebar placeholder.
I’m also getting random forbidden errors, these aren’t related to the theme. It’s more on Hostgator security feature. It’s best to contact them.
Thanks!

borinqenParticipantI have changed the layout design in the customizer, however, the sidebars are still not showing up. What am I missing? Tks.

RupokMemberHi there,
Make sure to set default template or a template with sidebar for your page – http://i.imgur.com/SWLTtPo.png

Hope this helps.
Cheers!

borinqenParticipantI am using the Icon stack and when I change the layout here this is what I see.
May 23, 2016 at 11:38 am #1005508
borinqenParticipantI am using ICON 8. I did not realize that you could not have sidebars with this one, I just assumed that was a standard feature on all of the stacks.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for updating. I see, you are using Icon stack. Let’s select Default template for Icon stack
Cheers!

borinqenParticipantSo what do I do for sidebars?? I need to add some information on each page, what are my options other that starting all over again?

JoaoModeratorHI There
The side bar does work with Icon.
Please follow this steps:
On Customizer go to Layout and Design and choose Content Layout Side bar left/right (choose any of them according to your wishes)
On the pages you want the sidebar to work you will select Default Template (First option)

For the pages you do not want a side bar, you will choose Blank – No Container | Header and Footer (If you want no container of course.)
Let us know how it goes and if you need help with anything else.

borinqenParticipantPlease help. I have attempted all of your suggestions and I still get nothing. I get the same error that says that Sidebars are not available in the Icon 8 stack. Not exactly sure what I am missing. Tks.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
I have created a new page a the sidebar is there.
Please see img attached.
The page is saved as a draft.
Simply create a new page and it will have the sidebar by default.
Let us know if you are facing any issues.
Thanks
