    Hello:
I wanted to update my theme to version 4.4.2, however, when I go to update I get an error that says that “An error occurred while updating X: Update package not available.” I get the same message when trying to download the update for Cornerstone. Can you assist? Thank you.

    Hi,

It looks like your product is not validated. Please do so by following this link : http://slbgeneral.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=x-addons-product-validation

    Thanks

When I tried to do that it says that my email is already registered. I have purchased other X theme licenses, it that the reason why? This is a completely different purchase code though.

    Hi there,

I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused. We have revised product validation process in the later versions of X and you’re using an older version. You no longer need to generate an API key to validate your site. Because you’re using an older version currently, you need to update your theme once manually to validate your site and then it will work for future updates.

Please check our validation process here (https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/).

Download the latest version of X theme from your ThemeForest account and then delete the current X theme installed by connecting to your FTP account (/wp-content/themes/x). Basically you don’t lose your content or settings by doing this as it will be saved in your database. It is safer to delete your Cornerstone plugin too (/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone).

Now once you installed the latest X theme and head over to X Addons section, it will automatically install the latest version of Cornerstone too. Then you should be able to validate your site.

Let us know how it goes.
    Thanks!

I did the validation, however, when I go to install the addons I get an error message.

The X theme version that I uploaded to the site is the same one that I have in my account. Why would I need to the delete and upload the same file ??If it was a different file then I can understand, however, it’s the same file.

I am logging in through FTP, however, I do not see the theme X in the list of them. I do have the theme installed and I can see it in the backend of the WordPress panel but every time I try to install the shortcodes through the “addons” I get an error message.
