    Also – I couldn’t see the free licence for the previous installation, which is why I purchased another theme. I’m sure I was at 20 before the problems started with this installation.

    There’s an underscore at the start of the username.

    Hello Geoff,

    Sorry my bad! I am logged in now. I did some digging and I found out that you are trying to validate the staging site but then in the general settings, it is being set to your main domain.

    Please make some changes in the WordPress URL and the Site Address URL. It must be the same as your staging site. This must be the reason why it is not validating. I already tried validating using a test license code but it still fail. Please do change it and try to validate it again using your own license.

    Thanks Rue,

    The issue was to do with the way Siteground have their staging environments. Even though I changed the home and site URLs in the WP admin, Siteground changed them back again.

    I managed to fix it in the theme.co license section by putting the main domain in without a subdomain and then in the staging environment putting my full staging URL.
