Peter WParticipantI developed a site on local host. Everything worked fine. I uploaded it to a dev site on my server and there were multiple problems. Site seems to work on the computer where it was uploaded from but not on any other computers. on other computers the links are broker, no media shows up, Cornerstone icons are missing. I have checked the permalinks, media links, etc., and everything seems to be ok but the site only works on the computer where it was developed. (Cornerstone icons are visible on the localhost install but not on the dev site)
I can provide you with the url but you will need to change your hosts file or use the Virtual Hosts plugin for Chrome. The URL is seattleyachts.com and the address is: http://50.116.111.97/

RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in.
It only means that your site is not properly migrated.
Please install All in one migration plugin on both source and destination site. Then use it to export your whole site from the original site, then import it to your destination site. That should handle all the required changes for URLs.
Thanks!

Peter WParticipantI have migrated the site twice, once with Duplicator and then with All In One Migration with the same result. The site works fine on the localhost. Problems only occur after migration.

ChristianModeratorHave you tried following the steps outlined here https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-migration/?

Peter WParticipantForgive my ignorance……..do I use All-In-One plugin or WP Migrate DB plugin? Or both?

RahulModeratorHey There,
This would be a great guide to migrate your site : https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/site-migration/#post-135217
Hope that helps.

Peter WParticipantI have tried all that you suggest, though it is somewhat confusing because you have suggested different plugins to migrate the sites. Here is where things are:
I completely deleted the localhost site, including wamp and all associated files. I reinstalled wamp and put wordpress on the local host. I also put X theme on there but there is no content yet.
On the dev site located on my hostgator server, I gave up on trying to get the links and images to work so I manually changed all of them so now they work. There are still no Cornerstone icons displaying. This after completely removing cornerstone and replacing it. I also reinstalled wordpress on the dev site. I thought I would use All-In-One WP migration and bring the site back to the localhost to see if the icons reappeared. I exported to a file but when I went to do the download, I was switched to a page that looks like the attached.
It appears that my only option now is to delete all the files on the dev site and start completely over. Before I do this, do you have any other thoughts?
Thank you.

JadeModeratorHi Peter,
Kindly try to check on Settings > Permalinks and set the permalink patterns to something else then reset it back to the correct one and see if it fixes the issue.
Let us know how it goes.

Peter WParticipantThank you for the suggestion but that did not solve the problem. I think there must be something corrupted in the database. The site links now work but the All-In_One Migration still gives a 404 page when attempting to download, the icons are missing in Cornerstone and I now find that when I visit the site from any computer other than the one that I developed it on, the video above the masthead does not play. I just get a quick rotating shape in the middle of the video screen and then it remains black.
When you visit the site, do you see a video? My login credentials are in a previous email.

JadeModeratorHi Peter,
I was about to change my host file and access the site you have just migrated and I can’t see the video and the image links are broken as well. They might not have been included in the migration.
I wanted to check further, but when I tried to login it doesn’t seem to work and just remain on the login page.
You might want to check out and try migrating using Blogvault as it does everything for you.

Peter WParticipantHello again…… I spent the day building the site from scratch. It works flawlessly on localhost. I migrated the site to the dev site on my server and everything seems to work except the icons are missing in Cornerstone.

Peter WParticipantI now have come home and the site works but the video above the masthead is not playing (screen black)on my Dell touch screen PC. On the other computer in the house, the video works. Still no Cornerstone icons on these computers.

ChristianModeratorHey there,
I tried logging in but couldn’t using the previously given WP admin credentials.
Regarding the video, you must include a video thumbnail as video background is disabled in touch screen devices.
Thanks.
