bsjolingParticipantI’m using the Cloud Zoom For WooCommerce (Official) plugin, so my featured product image is arranged with 3 product gallery pics.
I’ve used 1500×1500 pix sizes throughout as any deviation from uniformity seems to cause issues.
I’ve removed, re-installed, re-ordered, attaching to product…. spent hours!on this page, 2 work, 2 don’t
on this, 1 doesn’t work
on this, all ok!
peculiarly, the thing is that all the latest additions (to media library) don’t seem to want to integrate, though for the life of me I can’t find anything that’s different.
I’m using Media Library Categories plugin, recently added…. I’ve spent about 3 hours categorising the rather vile mess of my utterly random wp media library.(tedious utterly fails to describe this joyful process) I would de-activate it, however if that means I’ll lose those hours of online housekeeping I am a little afraid that my angry bitterness may lead me to regrettable rash actions….
anyway, I hope that I’ve just overlooked something really simple that you can point out to an old timer like me.
kind regards

RadModeratorHi there,
Some images are pulled as page and not as image, example http://www.nobodyinlondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/skeleton-fetus2b-1500×1500.jpg where the original is http://www.nobodyinlondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/skeleton-fetus2b.jpg
That’s quite weird, would you mind providing your FTP login credentials as well?
Thanks!

bsjolingParticipantI don’t get it. Glad you’ve found something weird at least.
I updated all the pix on this one
and it works spot on, despite the pixels being 2000×2000 (I’ve previously noticed that >1500^2 seems to be unstable)
btw, on the above, in the big picture tab (lower page) I would like to have the image open in a new window, though can’t really see where to sneak in target=blank…[visibility type=”visible-desktop”] (click image for full resolution, use browser back to return)[/visibility]

RadModeratorHi there,
What I mean is, the image URL display a page instead of an image. Hence, using the image URL that display page will not display the image. It could be due to the redirect.
Try accessing this image http://www.nobodyinlondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/skeleton-fetus2-1500×1500.jpg?viaCloudZoom, what do you see?
About the target blank, it should like this
<a href="URL HERE" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.nobodyinlondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/12-06-2016_NIL04_0046.jpg"></a>Your provided FTP login is working, but it’s pointing to an empty folder.
Thanks!

bsjolingParticipantI’m not sure what you’re trying to tell me here… what redirect are you inferring to?
(thanks for the “blank”… embarrassing… I ought to remember this sort of stuff!! just get tech blind sometimes!)
I’ll try to get a new and useful ftp for you. I’m getting hacked every morning… any suggestions on who can clean this up other than sucuri @ $300!! ?
thanks

Paul RModeratorHi,
When you try to access this url http://www.nobodyinlondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/skeleton-fetus2-1500×1500.jpg
it is showing a page instead of the image itself. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
With regards to security, you can try the following.
https://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress
Wordfence Security – Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security
Hope that helps.

bsjolingParticipantwhen I put that url in I just get a homepage (I think I’ve got a 404 that redirects there…) deactivating it just gives a ‘bummer’ 404 generic, so I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be seeing here:
http://www.nobodyinlondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/skeleton-fetus2-1500×1500.jpgI have already gone through a plugin test… did it again, no change.
still cant see why it would work perfectly for certain images and not for others.do you need ftp?
January 16, 2017 at 8:14 am #1332011
bsjolingParticipantthanks for the suggestions re security.

Paul RModeratorHi,
It looks like the file skeleton-fetus2-1500×1500.jpg no longer exist.
You can try regenerating all sizes of all your images using this plugin
Hope that helps.
January 17, 2017 at 4:59 am #1333305
bsjolingParticipantdone as suggested, regenerating if anything seems to have made the matter slightly worse.
Fine when all 3(+1) thumbnails work, but on skeleton page,(1 good,2 not, 1’home’) once you hit a non-functional thumb, subsequent hitting a good one does not bring back normal function… ie putting it in the main frame with a working pop-out zoom.January 17, 2017 at 5:37 am #1333352
