KimSSParticipantHi Guys,
Since the update, the rev slider isn’t working and has the message –
Revolution Slider Error: You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the revolution files js include.
This includes make eliminates the revolution slider libraries, and make it not work.To fix it you can:
1. In the Slider Settings -> Troubleshooting set option: Put JS Includes To Body option to true.
2. Find the double jquery.js include and remove it.
The slider settings seem to seize up and the options don’t open. There is also a message saying I need to register the slider?
What should I do?Thanks Kim

NicoModeratorHi There,
Please remove the rev slider or delete the rev slider then reinstall it again using the x ads on because the version you are using is not the compatible version for the latest version of X theme.
The version compatible is 5.2.5.2 and you version is 5.2.5.3
Hope it helps.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

KimSSParticipantOK, so now I get the message your wordpress files do not allow you to add plugins. Exactly the same as this person with this thread – https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/help-with-your-wordpress-file-permissions-do-not-allow-plugins-to-be-installed/
So I can’t reinstall that slider. Everything was fine before I updated.
Thanks Kim

KimSSParticipantHi again, so I have had a look through and found all these other people who have the same problem as me. I did not have this problem prior to updating – no permission errors. I really don’t know what I am supposed to do? I can’t add any plugins or addons? What do I do now? Thanks Kim

KimSSParticipantHi, I read thru the other threads and it said to download the plugin by downloading the latest x and getting the add on from there. I did this. It contains the latest version of the slider which is 5.2.5.3 – that’s what’s in your package?
So it still doesn’t work.
Can someone please help me with this. Some conflicting info and I need the slider back up.
Thank you KimJune 2, 2016 at 4:20 am #1021781
rok1975ParticipantHey KimSS,
i had the same problem! But i managed to solve it.
There is a problem with the revslider.zip, which is comming with the x-package, because if you unzip it, in revslider/public/assets/ is still the asset.zip. So you have to unzip it and load it manually to your webspace to the appropriate place.
I found the error over the console because its saying files are missing.
I hope this helps.
Best

KimSSParticipantHi Tobi, Appreciate it…I did unzip and upload to the plugin folder via FTP – was that wrong?
And now I can’t add any ‘add ons’. All was well before this latest x upgrade 🙁June 2, 2016 at 5:46 am #1021878
rok1975ParticipantWhat do you unzip and uploaded?
June 2, 2016 at 7:31 am #1022019
RahulModeratorHey There,
You have to unzip the plugin zip file you download from envato and upload it to wp-content/plugins folder using FTP.
Hope that helps.

KimSSParticipantYes I have done that. I was told previously that I had the wrong version of Rev Slider – perhaps you could check the previous posts. I was told to uninstall it, which I did. However, I can no longer ad the add-on, because I come up with a permission error. Am i just supposed to now not be able to use these add-ons?
So, as I cannot add the Rev Slider, I followed another thread where someone is having the same problem. There, staff advised to download the X Package again, unzip it, and then unzip the plug in file. All done. Once i did all this, I realised that the Rev Slider package was the same wrong version I had installed. That’s from your X File download. So where am i to get this older version?
I had none of these issues prior to the X update. I have been trying to fix it for hours and have gotton no where. Other people have the same problem. I think someone should help me fix this please. Regards Kim
