RadModeratorHi there,
I’m not really sure what’s the issue, if you don’t wish to display all categories from the filter, then choose one or any specific category on your portfolio setting, instead of selecting all categories.
Portfolio filter not displaying when selecting one category is just normal. There is nothing to filter since you only selected one category in portfolio settings. It’s bend like that even from old versions of X, and it’s not a bug.
Filter will only appear when you selected a category more than one. Would you mind providing more details or perhaps visual guide in case I misunderstand it.
Thanks!

Barbara BParticipantHi Rad,
I did have all the categories chosen on my portfolio settings for each page. One of you all told me to change them to “All Categories” which I tried but that did not work. I just changed them back now. My top gallery menu dropdown does work. The categories + sign does not work. If you don’t have any ideas on how to fix it, can you tell me how to just delete that?
Thanks.

Barbara BParticipantHi Rue,
I did try both Chrome and Safari, and I did clear all browsing data from each plus empty cache on my dashboard. Both browsers are showing the same problem. If you click on one of the dropdowns from the top Gallery menu, such as Florals, once that pops up, from there the rest of the + categories do not work. Only the one that you clicked on originally. So here’s what I am showing. Using Floral as an example, Landscape, Animals and portraits + do not work, and the + All shows the Floral. You can also see how each the top left page ID, right under the logo, stays at “Floral & Still Life” in each screen shot. Weird? Hummmm…. I’m thinking it’s probably something simple but not sure. If we can’t figure it out I guess I will have to leave it for now. Would be nice to get it working though. Thanks very much for all the input.

Barbara BParticipantHi sorry, I see I can’t send my little screens shots all at one time in a zipped file. Let me try this.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
As I mentioned in my previous replay, you needed to select ‘All categories’. I edited ‘Floral & Still Life’ page, selected all categories and changed number of posts per page to a greater value. The value should be equal or greater than number of existing portfolio items.
Please see the attachments.
Hope it helps.

Barbara BParticipantHi Chris,
I went through the pages and did what you said, changing each page to “All Categories” and increasing the posts per page.
Now the top Gallery dropdown does not work right. When I click on any of the 4 dropdowns they all show all the images now instead of just the particular dropdown you click on.
I wonder if I am getting pages and posts mixed up? Perhaps I just need the top Gallery button to show all, and have no dropdown menus? Then the categories + might start working?
I thought I could use both ways but perhaps things are getting mixed up now. I swear it used to work!
What do you think?
Thanks.
