Matthew BParticipantHello,
When I’m in customizer my portfolio page is showing up different than the live site. If I click on my “Products” link in customizer it takes me to a page that looks correct, however it’s under the parent “Archive”. When I’m on the live site and click “Products” the page looks completely different, but is under the correct parent “Products”. I’m attaching photos. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Thank you!

LelyModeratorHello Matthew,
Thank you for the credentials. When you say in Customizer, do you mean when you’re login via Admin? I can’t seem to duplicate the issue. See this:http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDl3n6Qt82
Please clarify.December 21, 2016 at 8:16 pm #1301275
Matthew BParticipantRight, if I’m logged in as Admin it looks correct. But on the live site it shows up like the 2nd screenshot I attached.

Matthew BParticipantIf you click on View all Products when you aren’t logged in, you’ll see what I mean.
Thank you for looking into this.

Matthew BParticipantActually, I just checked again. Even when you’re in as Admin it looks wrong. The URL is http://clevermakers.com/products/.
However, when you are in the Customizer it looks fine. I’m attaching screenshots. The first 1 is from within Customizer. The 2nd is not. I want it to look like the first screenshot.

Matthew BParticipantI also noticed that in Customizer, the page shows up as being under “Archives” not “Products”.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I tried logging in to check your site. Regretfully after I enter the credentials, I was being greeted by this screen:

Could you please disable Duo Security so that we can log in?
Thank you in advance.

Matthew BParticipantOK, I disabled it. Thanks!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I have investigated your site and it turns out that there was a slug conflict. The page slug for Products and the portfolio slug is the same. So when you are in Customize, WordPress displays the Porfolio archive instead. Please see this screenshot: http://prntscr.com/dmv186
If you change the portfolio slug in the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Portfolio > Custom URL Slug.
http://prntscr.com/dmv29mSetting your custom portfolio slug allows you to create a unique URL structure for your archive pages that suits your needs. When you update it, remember to save your Permalinks again to avoid any potential errors.
Please check your site now.

Matthew BParticipantThank you for explaining, but I’m not sure I fully understand how to achieve what I’m looking for. I would like the URL for my product portfolio be /products not /my-products. Also, I would like the breadcrumb to show up under Products, not Archive. Is this possible?
Thanks again for your help.
