Hello, currently we are building five websites for hair salons. Ik think 10 more are coming. I am looking for a way to set up the galleries. In most cases we will have between 5 till 35 gallery’s. What would be the beste way the have a page which can show a quick overview of all the galleries? What would be good if we can show some kind of a grid where you can see the galleries, if you like to see more just click trough. Any tips how i can set up something like this?

To clarify, i would like to set up ag page where i have three blocks, a picture, second block text, third block a grid. This roughly the idea: http://knipt.newfishdev.nl/foto/ but now you only see one gallery, i would like to show many galleries as a grid. Any tips are welcome

Maybe i am on a wrong path, but i have found inside X Th Grid. I have set up a grid, but somehow it does not work, if i click on the thumbnail it links to a page which does not exist, it should link to the gallery: http://knipt.newfishdev.nl/test/

And if you want to set up a grid like gallery, you can try out TheGrid plugin or Essential Grid plugin which you can install when you go to X Addons > Extensions. Thanks for these links, these are helpful. I have looked in to the manual of the grid and this seems logical and straigtforward. But please help me with two specific questions:

1: as i asked before, on this test page there is a grid but if you click on the item the gallery is not shown, the link is broken, why? http://knipt.newfishdev.nl/test/

2: how can i adjust the size of the thumbnail in the grid?

Sorry we misunderstand eachtother, the problem is NOT SOLVED! I had giving you a not enough right in my cms. Please help me, i need to solve this issue:

Hi there,

1. You’re displaying Envira Gallery through The Grid which are different plugin. Envira Gallery is a post type with no “View” option, with no single page. It’s only used for embedding shortcode. Hence, the link is working because there is no actual link for Envira post type.

2. You need to change The Grid’s setting and set the cols smaller than 6 columns. The more columns, the smaller the thumbnail.

Ok that means i am back at square one. How do i make a grid out of my galleries? Why is there an option to choose for envivare gallery in the grid when it does not function?

Thanks for updating in! To display a grid, the source media should only be page or posts. If you want to display an Envira gallery, please make use of the Envira gallery element in Cornerstone or the provided Envira gallery shortcode. Ok i am getting there, i have set it up as a portfolio now. I think with some styling this can do the trick. Thanks for your help on that.

I do have to get back on the size of the grid. I do get it if the grid has less items, the grid will be displayed larger. But still at this moment i think there are more settings to be adjusted before i can build further. Padding options?
