These aren’t part of the theme, this is more related to the optimization feature you’re implementing. WordPress is modular where themes and plugin could be from different authors, and there is no fix-it-all solution since each author has their own implemented structure and standard, with different javascript and CSS files.

You don’t need that plugin, but you may install WP Rocket plugin too.

ok. Well I have noticed that big fancy websites don’t score much better and seem to have the same issues so I guess it isn’t that big of a deal. I realize I have several significant plugins that may be lowering the speed. Maybe there’s other more useful battles I should be fighting… Thanks for your guidance.
