mdmason23ParticipantHello,
I am trying to create a modal popup on my website. After clicking “create modal”, I am directed to a page where I can choose a template. After clicking “Use this” on one of the templates, the plugin stalls and the designer does not open. I have tried on a modal that I have already created, but is paused, and the designer still does not open. I only get a white screen with four colored bars indicating that it is “thinking”.
…help please.
Thanks,

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! Since you have installed a caching plugin SG CachePress, please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
I also noticed that you are using SiteGround, could you please disable the supercacher in your hosting panel? The SuperCacher is developed by SiteGround exclusively for their customers. It increases the number of hits a site can handle and boosts the website loading speed. The SuperCacher includes 4 different caching options for maximum optimization of your websites. You can access the tool by clicking on the SuperCacher icon in your cPanel.
For more information about this, please check it out here: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/supercacher/supercacher_intro.htm
And if still nothing else works, you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Please let us know how it goes.

When I click at “Use this” the Loading-Screen comes but nothing happens after that.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Which button should trigger the modal box?
Thanks.

justincourageParticipantI want to use the blank template (as shown on the attached screen shot). When I click the ‘Use This’ link it takes me to the loading page and it wont get passed the loading graphic (also attached).

LelyModeratorHello Justin and Everyone,
We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. We have confirmed this is a bug and it was already forwarded to our developers for further investigation. When Superfly is active, the following error occurs on Convertplug:
admin.php?page=smile-modal-designer&style-view=edit&action=new&style=cp_id_f223c&theme=blank:1678 Uncaught ReferenceError: LAIconManagerCollection is not defined. This error stops Convertpluy from working. In the mean time, you can disable superfly while editing Convertplug. Thank you for understanding. We will let you know once we have an update.August 8, 2016 at 12:36 pm #1122443
justincourageParticipantOkay great. I deactivated the Superfly menu for now. Please let me know when you resolve this. Thanks!
