yhshin1020ParticipantHey,
I have a mailchimp form set up on my website.
However, when I enter the email and hover the mouse over it, the cursor changes to a red circle with a diagonal line through it, and it doesnt allow me to submit the email.
What is the problem here? The API key seems correct, and I don’t think it is a plugin conflict issue.
Thank you.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in!
I have tested your mailchimp form and I got this:

Please login t your MailChimp account and make sure that only the email is required in your list. The MMERGE3 field is set to “required” in MailChimp. To change that login to your account on http://mailchimp.com Click on Lists in the top menu. Then below the list’s name hover over “Settings” and click “fields and merge tags”. Clear the checkbox “Required” for MMERGE3 and click on the Save button.
Hope this make sense.

yhshin1020ParticipantI hope you read the text above.
I do not want to disable the required checkbox for MMERGE3.
That is precisely why I added a name field in the mail form.
As far as I know, having a name field should do the job, why is it stil saying “MMERGE3 must be provided – Please enter a value” when I typed in my name in the name field?
I hope you understand.

ChristianModeratorWould you mind removing your MMERGE1 field? X does not allow extra fields so that won’t show up anyway. Also, try changing the name field to First name and set the Name Requirement to Yes.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

RadModeratorHi there,
Yes, merge fields can affect its functionality. How about creating a dummy listing instead editing the existing one? You may provide your Mailchimp credentials so we could check and test it.
Thanks!
