Looks like I can’t upload the scree shot as it is too large. I am editing the social links and have removed them from Appearace – Customise – Social, but that’s apparently not where they need to be deleted from. Where do I remove those links?

I was about to help you replace the old logo and remove the icons. But it seems something happened on your site, I can’t view the front page, are you or someone is working on your site right now? please confirm.

When I checked your theme files yesterday. I think I saw those icons hard written with a do_shortcode so those social icons are not native to X.

oh no, now the website is broken, why doesn’t my home page show up???? 🙁

So my site shows the homepage when I am logged in as WP admin but it does not display the homepage to users. Big problem for me, any ideas? Yikes

Kind of an emergency for me, Siteground is opening a support ticket and they seem to think something went wrong with my plugins? But I haven’t been changing my plugins at all.

Ok I updated my plugins and now the site is magincally working again.

so, back to the issue at hand, Friesch could you please update that image file for the logo?

Also, could you delete the social icons if they are what is causing the problem with the menu bar breaking? It sounds like the developer I hired just shortcoded those in there directly? So I can’t find them. Thanks

Hi There,

You could go to your Child Theme and find the Header file and backup and delete it.

For the moment you can simply use this CSS on Appereance Customizer Custom CSS

.nav_social {
display: none !important;
}

So that I can replace that hard coded logo in my header and close this item? Sorry, I’m not very good with WP yet and don’t know where to find this file, I don’t see it when I search through my Appearance – Editor area

Please login to your site hosting via FTP. You may use Filezilla. Then go to your site root folder and then navigate to that folder.
