srossandParticipantHi, I have X installed at this location http://www.exposure-photobooths.com
I hired a developer to create the site for me initially. We have an updated logo now and i can’t figure out where the old logo, the one which shows on scroll down, when you are scrolling down the page, is stored. I can’t figure out how to change or update it. Where is this setting?
Also, there is a weird bug in the menu which causes the size of the menu bar to change as you are scaling down and up and width of the screen. Any ideas on what they did wrong there?
Thanks!

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! Most probably that is a custom template with a JavaScript. Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Regarding the second issue, you can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer.
@media (min-width: 1024px) and (max-width: 1079px) { .x-navbar .desktop .x-nav>li>a:not(.x-btn-navbar-woocommerce) { padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 10px; } .masthead-inline .desktop .x-nav { float: right; } }Cheers!

srossandParticipantOh, and won’t this code you sent me limit the width of the site so it can’t be viewed on all different size devices?

RadModeratorHi there,
Another support here and I’m little confused. Does the issue, is, when the menu goes under the logo when resized? Or is it the different issue? Would you mind providing a screen/video recording of all the issues.
And what’s the issue with the logo and the change you wish to apply? Do you wish to change the logo? It looks like the customization is done through the templates and I can’t confirm that with your provided FTP information.
What’s the username, and what’s CPanel password you’re referring?
Thanks!

srossandParticipantDo you see how there are two logos in the top menu, one which displays when you are scrolled to the very top, and one which displays while you are scrolling? The one which displays while you are scrolling is our old logo, the one with a camera lens in the middle of it is our old logo, that is the logo which needs to be replaced with the one I supplied in the thread above.
For the menu issue, here is a video of what I am talking about. Basically, as you are bringing the width of the browser thinner, the menu bottom bar drops down into the screen, and it “breaks” the menu. It looks like it does that twice. I’m wondering if you can let me know how to fix this.
I have a video of the menu bug, but it is 62 MB in size. Do you have somewhere I can email that, since this uploaded can’t take a file that large?

FriechModeratorHi There,
Sorry for the confusion. We need to check your child theme files via FTP because most probable that old logo is written on one of those files, so please clarify your given FTP credentials above.
We need FTP HOSTNAME, FTP USERNAME, and FTP PASSWORD. You did not provide your Cpanel login so we’re not sure what do you mean by “Same as cPanel password.”
You can upload your video on your site via FTP in the meantime, and send us the URL. Or just let us know what directory you uploaded the video and will take a look at it when we can access your site via FTP.
No, the custom CSS code I’ve provided above does not narrow the width of your site. It does bring your menu items closer on a narrow width screen, so no menu item will drop on the next line. (but I’m not sure if that was the issue)
Thanks.

srossandParticipantGreat, here is the new logo, again! Can you please change it for me? thanks
Is there any way to block theme updates, so I don’t have that problem with the Child Theme thing? I do not have the skills and didn’t create the entire website so I don’t know how to fix that issue?

srossandParticipantI have made the spacing between the menu bar items tighter, down to 15 pixels. It seems to work a little better.
But it’s still not perfect. I took out the URL’s for the social icons, but they are still visible. They must be hard coded in somewhere, too. Can you help me find and remove them please

John EzraMemberHi there,
Thanks for updating the thread! Social Media links don’t have any hard-coding. They are controlled via the customizer. They should disappear if you remove the links. You mentioned that you did that already, however, upon checking your site the links are still present.
You may need to clear you cache to see if it is loading old content.
Let us know how that goes. Hope this helps – thanks!
