    Hi there,

    I just recently launched site with x-theme and am getting a revolution slider error message on each page of the site. Despite this, most of the pages still load fine on most devices, but on certain screen sizes the slider won’t even load. This is the error message:

    setREVStartSize();
    function revslider_showDoubleJqueryError(sliderID) {
    var errorMessage = “Revolution Slider Error: You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the revolution files js include. This includes make eliminates the revolution slider libraries, and make it not work.To fix it you can:

    1. In the Slider Settings -> Troubleshooting set option: Put JS Includes To Body option to true.

    2. Find the double jquery.js include and remove it.

    jQuery(sliderID).show().html(errorMessage);

    Looking around I see a few other support threads with this identical message but most of their fixes relate to caching or image load errors, none of which I can see on these pages. Please help!

    The homepage for the site is at http://www.livinginquirymaui.com but as there is a slider on every page, the error repeats itself regardless of where you are on the site.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! Upon checking your site, we see that you are not using the latest versions of X and Cornerstone. Please update first so we can narrow down the possible causes.

    To check the latest versions, please visit our Changelog

    Note: That you may need to delete Cornerstone manually via FTP if the update is not showing up. You can then reinstall it via X Addons > Extensions.

    Let us know how that goes. Hope this helps – thanks!

    Ok, I’ve updated X and Cornerstone. Should I also update Revolution Slider to the latest version?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for updating the thread! Yes that would be the best practice. Keeping all plugins updated will help ensure things are working properly.

    Hope this helps – thanks!

    Okay, updated that as well but unfortunately it looks like the problem still persists – getting the same error message. Any thoughts?

    Hello There,

    Thanks for providing the credentials for your site. At this moment, I could no longer replicate the issue on my end. Did you already resolve the issue? Please confirm. After doing all your updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. I would greatly advised that you clear your GoDaddy site cache and your browser’s cache before testing your site again.

    Please let us know how it goes.

    Unfortunately no, haven’t resolved it. Even after clearing all of my browser/GoDaddy cache the problem still persists. The site appears to load fine, but if I inspect it with Firebug, I can see the same error message that I mentioned above in the Javascript section.

    Despite the fact that if I access the site on a laptop, it loads fine, on certain mobile devices, the sliders won’t load at all due to this error, which is why I need to resolve it.

    Thanks for the quick responses, I want to get to the bottom of this.

    I also see the error message if I google the name “Living Inquiry” as it’s listed right under the name of the site.

    Hello There,

    Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

    Thank you.

    Hello There,

    This isn’t an error on the page. This came from the JS function that will display a message if there are any errors on the page. This is the snippet of the JS code:

    setREVStartSize();
    function revslider_showDoubleJqueryError(sliderID) {
      var errorMessage = "Revolution Slider Error: You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the revolution files js include.";
      errorMessage += "<br> This includes make eliminates the revolution slider libraries, and make it not work.";
      errorMessage += "<br><br> To fix it you can:<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1. In the Slider Settings -> Troubleshooting set option:  <strong><b>Put JS Includes To Body</b></strong> option to true.";
      errorMessage += "<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2. Find the double jquery.js include and remove it.";
      errorMessage = "<span style='font-size:16px;color:#BC0C06;'>" + errorMessage + "</span>";
      jQuery(sliderID).show().html(errorMessage);
    }

    var tpj=jQuery;
    var revapi34;

    And the result from Google search is because there aren’t any text content in your homepage. You only relied on what is being displayed by the Slider Revolution. I would highly recommend that you install Yoast’ SEO plugin and add some keywords, tags, and content description for your homepage.

    To make sure that your slider loads on various screens, you must make sure that you have set it to display on mobile screens. Make sure that you have properly set the layer grids and other settings. Perhaps this video could help you.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello There,

    Thanks for updating this thread! Regretfully the given password is not working for us. Please double check it. For the meantime, can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)

    Our latest versions are:
    X Theme: 4.5.2
    Cornerstone: 1.2.4
    Revolution slider: 5.2.5.3

    You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

    If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

    Thanks.
