I seriously need your help. I have purchased 4 licenses for X and hope to purchase several more soon. However, I am having a heck of a time getting all my X Sites to work (ever since you switched to Cornerstone). I am very frustrated!
I have read everything you have in you Knowledge Base and Forum. Nothing I try works. Please help! I am desperate. I would jump up and down with joy if there was anyway I could get someone on the phone to help me? But here it goes. I will not give up until this gets resolved. I am a professional graphic designer and website designer. I am experiencing increasing problems with all of my sites and my clients sites built on the X theme. I need to get my sites working as soon as possible. This validation process should be easy. It isn’t!
The first site I am trying to get in order is my own site: http://abacusgraphics.com as well as the staging version of my site: http://staging.full-force.flywheelsites.com
Neither of these sites will let me validate? They ask me to Submit my API key… but I cannot find anywhere in my account on Themeco where I can get or generate an API key? I have tried using my Purchase Code in place of an API key, but that doesn’t work?
I am stuck and cannot proceed with my work until I get this issue resolved with all my sites. Please help me. I need explicit step by step procedures for my personal needs. Please don’t just refer me to some Knowledge Base article or some Forum post, because I have all ready checked them all out and they don’t help. I keep read all about how great your support is, and that’s one of things that sold me on investing so much time and money into your product. I need to feel some loving support coming my way!

Sorry to hear you are having issues while validating X but I am glad that you reached out for support. I am here to help shed some light on what is causing the issue and get you started towards a solution. Please do the following:
1] Please login to your account and assign the license. You need to assign the license to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address.
2] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.That should get the site validated. Please let us know how it goes.

I have been trying to do some work using Cornerstone in my Staging site, and I have run into a huge problem! Whenever I attempt to save a change or a template, it locks up and I loose any control. The only way I can get control back is by refreshing the page, but I can’t save anything.
I like the concept of Cornerstone a lot… I really want it to work. Please help me. I don’t know if this has anything to do with the pesky validation problem or not?
I have lots of work to do on numerous client websites build on the original X Theme before Cornerstone, which I am now experiencing issues with that need to get resolved… and I have several pending new website projects that I hope to use the X Theme for, but only if I can quickly get all my issues resolved.
Is there any higher level of more expedited support available to me?

Would you mind providing us with login credentials on your staging site so we can take a closer look on your Cornerstone isue? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:– Link to your site

Can you confirm that your staging site is up to date X and Cornerstone? If not please update both on the latest version, to make sure that this is not a compatibility issue.
But since you can not validated the staging site, please follow the Manual Update guide provided here.

Thank you for the clarifications. You are experiencing errors in your site because you are still using X4.2.2 and X Shortcodes. The latest release that supports the staging and main site license code validation started from X4.4 and with Cornerstone. Please deactivate and delete X Shortcodes 3.0.5 plugin. Please take note that X shortcodes 3.0.5 and its functionality has been consolidated into Cornerstone which you can install by going to X Addons > Extensions. Would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can fix the issue? We can do all the manual updates for you. Automatic updates may be difficult since you are a few versions behind. Once you have provided us with your URL, we will be happy to assist you with everything.

Since you upgraded from very old version, then it will break 🙂
When upgrading to the latest, X Shortcodes plugin should be deactivated or deleted, then install cornerstone. And, you should also update your child theme by adding this line to child theme’s functions.php
add_filter( 'x_enqueue_parent_stylesheet', '__return_true' );I went ahead and did these, please check now.
