    What happens exactly is when I upload the file it immediately shows the error message and nothing is loaded into the library but when I refresh the page it’s uploaded with just an icon and no preview image.

    Hi there,

    There are may possible reason,

    1. It fails to generate thumbnails
    2. It has no permission to write to disk
    3. Image GD library is not installed or active, or there is a limitation.
    4. And more…

    The only way to find out is by checking the error logs. Would you mind providing your Admin and FTP login credentials in private reply?

    Hello There,

    The errors logs, if there are any, can only be found in the file directory in your server. That is why we asked the ftp credentials. Regretfully we cannot check any errors or your WP dashboard because you only gave a password and no username is given.

    To assist you better with this issue, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look?

    To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
    – Link to your site

    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP Hostname
    – FTP Username
    – FTP Password

    Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

    I would try checking with your hosting provider on this particular issue as it sounds like something related to your setup is causing this. Typically, this is due server configuration problems (i.e. underpowered, traceroute issues, packet loss, permissions errors, et cetera). Additionally, your host will be able to diagnose things much better due to the fact that they have a more complete view of your account and can work behind the scenes with you. If the problem you are experiencing persists after working with your host, don’t hesitate to let us know and we will be happy to assist you. Any relevant information that you can share with us from your host is also greatly appreciated as it will help us to better ascertain the source of the problem.

    hi, just reporting back. i contacted my host provider via their chat option and they fixed it right away, in a matter of minutes. seems to be a common easily fixable issue with the host. thanks for all your help though!
