GreaterGoodSolutionsParticipantWP Bakery said “If the content is created with the standalone visual composer, then it will work with any theme which is coded as per WordPress theme development guidelines, by installing the standalone version again on it.
If the content is created with the modified version of visual composer from the X theme, then I am afraid, it will only work with the X theme itself. Kindly check.”The problem is that the content was not create with the standalone VC, it was created with the Silicon bundled version and then moved to the standalone version. I think the issue is that the Silicon theme had some VC code that is causing the conflict and needs to be altered. Unfortunately, that theme is no longer supported and they do not respond to questions.
Thank you for all of your time and efforts but it looks like I’m going to have to scrap what I’ve got and rebuild everything in Cornerstone. As usual, X Theme support has been fantastic.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
I am glad you are so positive after finding out the issue, once the pages are rebuilt using Cornerstone I am sure you will be glad to have migrated them even if initially against your will.
Thanks for your kind words and let us know if we can help you with anything else.

GreaterGoodSolutionsParticipantNo problem, you guys are great.
I have another question though (let me know if I should open a new thread). In the portfolio – I don’t want the thumbnails to open another page on the site, I want them to open the website affiliated with each thumbnail. To clarify, rather than opening a page and then having to click the “See It Live” button I just want the initial click to go to the Project Link. Is this possible?

GreaterGoodSolutionsParticipantAlso, can you tell me where to edit the “See It Live” button, Launch Project etc on the portfolio pages such as http://www.steresgaffenmedia.com/portfolio-item/anti-defamation-league-san-diego/
Thanks!

FriechModeratorHi There,
You can edit the See It Live phrase on Appearance > Customize, and then on Customizer under the Portfolio panel look for the Launch Project Title field.
To direct the portfolio thumbnail to a link, please follow this post: https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/directing-an-item-in-portfolio-to-a-page/#post-36075
Hope it helps, Cheers!
