tobsuchtParticipantHi,
I experience the following issue. The first Blog page shows only 3 posts instead of 5. Please check the following url: http://tobiasdietrich.com/vlog/ . Under newest posts you see #tdDocu 17-21, but the fist page only shows 17,19, 21. If I add a new post 22, 20, 18 would be visable. All other blog pages work perfectly. Do you have any clue what is wrong?
Thanks,
TobiasDecember 20, 2016 at 10:31 pm #1300108
Prasant RaiModeratorHello Tobias,
Thanks for writing in!
You should be able to control it from Settings -> Reading tab and there will be a section says “Blog pages show at most”.
Thanks.

tobsuchtParticipantHi,
Thanks for your fast answer. Yes, I know this setting and it shows “Blog page show at most” 5 posts. But the first page on my blog only shows 3 posts. This problem is also not changing if I add another post (still 3). Furthermore, if I klick on the buttons under the posts to switch to older posts, it shows 5 post again and everything is fine. This issue only concerns the first Blog page. Please help!
Thanks,

tobsuchtParticipantOne further comment. If I klick on the headline of one of the first three posts, the sidebar disappears and the button under the video is not shown. Compared to klicking the headline of one of the older posts sth. is wrong here. Maybe this information is useful for you to figure out a solution. Thanks!

LelyModeratorHello Tobias,
This issue is really weird.
You could try testing for a plugin conflict to check if this is coming from a plugin. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time. I can see that you have a caching plugin too. Note to clear cache before checking again. If the issue still persists, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / passwordDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

Rue NelModeratorHello Tobi,
Thanks for providing the information. I have check on the site files and I could find anything. Could you please put your site in Maintenance mode so that we can thoroughly check it. We will test for a plugin conflict and even try to switch theme to figure out what is going on.
Please let us know then.

RadModeratorHi there,
Really weird. It’s like having a global offset within the query.
Do your hosting has built-in caching like database or object cache? Disabled all the plugins and there is no customization, in fact, it’s almost the same as newly installed, but still the same. Is this happening on your other site too? This is my first time seeing this issue, might be related to cache as I can’t replicate it anywhere.
I enabled back the plugins except for security and cache plugin, but you can enable them back when done testing.
Thanks!

Rue NelModeratorHi Toby,
We really want to get to the bottom of this issue. Could you please put your site in maintenance mode so that we can thoroughly check it? It would also be a good idea if you can backup site your site along with the customizer settings so that we can switch the theme to Twenty Fifteen to test out WordPress Query issue.
Please let us know how it goes.
