BeertengokuyParticipantI’m having problems with my featured images on beertengoku.com
I’m currently using up-to-date versions of wordpress, theme x, and cornerstone, and the featured images are blurry. When I view the image itself, it’s tiny, even though I have selected a 3mb file as the featured image. I’ve tried regenerating thumbnails but nothing has changed.
Any help would be much appreciated.January 2, 2017 at 5:19 am #1312421
Paul RModeratorHi,
It looks like it is being resized by a plugin.
You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

BeertengokuyParticipantThanks – deactivated all the plugins and then reactivated them one by one.
Cornerstone was causing the problems.January 2, 2017 at 5:48 am #1312438

BeertengokuyParticipantThanks.
If I disable X shortcodes and use cornerstone, then get blurry pictures, which is what I’m trying to avoid.January 2, 2017 at 5:55 am #1312443
ChristopherModeratorCornerstone is replacement of x-shortcodes, please activate it so we can help you with this issue.
Thanks.

BeertengokuyParticipantOk, thanks.
It’s been switched over.January 2, 2017 at 6:04 am #1312454
ChristianModeratorPlease install Force Regenerate Thumbnails (https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-regenerate-thumbnails/) plugin and then regenerate all your images in your media gallery.
If that doesn’t help, please give us access to your WordPress admin.
Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thanks.

After disabling plugins, please clear cache as well.
On a side note, your images are too large, featured image size should be around 90KB.Let us know how it goes.

ChristianModeratorHey there,
I only see a 2014 folder in your server. Please give us the correct folder directory.
Thanks.

BeertengokuyParticipantThanks for the reply.
Sorry but I’m a bit confused by “a 2014 folder in your server”. Everything is stored in the public_html folder. -
